I was driving home from the ferry last night and a shiny new metalic black M3 popped up in my rear view mirror.

I was quite surprised to see one on the roads, however first impressions were that it didn't stand out as much as the E46 M3 did to a regular 3-series. Maybe it was due to the dark colour hiding its lines, but it was rather subtle compared to 'normal' 3er.

Anyway, as for the little run we had, there did not appear to be anything in it between my V8 Roadster and the M3, maybe he was still running it in biggrin

Have UK deliveries started or was this a press car?

And if he'd just picked it up he wouldn't be able to go over 5.5k revs...

Did the reg start with a Y#07###? If so will be one of the press/staff cars from Bracknell.
