opinions on radweld please
Discussion
Yesterday , when 100 miles from home in my Chimaera, noticed a small coolant leak and a hissing noise from somewhere near the base of the nearside of the radiator. No great jump in temperature so no damage done. Treated with radweld , filled up with water and got home , watching the guage like a hawk , but no problems .
What now ? Is it imperitive to fix /change the radiator , or is radweld a long term solution ?

Radweld (better known as a "turd" basically blocks up your rad. As OP's have said, it is a temporary fix. You may fnd after a while that you start to run into cooling issues as having it running around inside the rad reduces it's efficiency. Personally it would be a rad out job, flush and repair if possible, or replace.
