Anyone know what the handbrake cable on a 87 350i comes from, or maybe a part number?????

Sure it is off sommit but got my 350 one from wedge. Greased it well first before installation.
Sorry brain just kicked in as I was about to say Jag but is it a one off?

About the handbrake not working etc. Is this a "they all do that sir" or do a lot have a problem with them? I ask as mine have been fine

Slightly tongue in cheek, mine does actually work - but it is not as good as one on a boring car!

Why do you want to replace it? Has the adjustment run out, if so peninsular do a mod, where they weld an aextesion to the outer casing to bring back the adjustment.
