I'm going from a CBR 666RR to a R1
The quotes have jumped up massivly with my current insurer. I'm in my first 6 months of riding.

Currently with H&R-who else shall i contact? I want fully comp this time.

Thanks

Try some online companys like Bennets,Carol Nash,Ebike etc.How old are you.If you have only been riding 6 months and do not have any no claims bonus and have not held your licence that long i doubt you will insure it cheaply. smile

I was getting quotes of £2800 TPFT for my R1, with 3 yrs NCB! In the end I called MCE who did fully comp for £650 smile

Phone them all as their quotes vary massively from person to person. I'm with H&R at the moment and they're a bit cheaper than the rest for me and the service you get is superb.

Ebike are very good.

I wouldn't touch Bennetts or Zenith Insurance (GHL) with somebody else's barge pole. Incompetant, put incorrect info on policy then blame you, insurer is at the sharp end of sharp practice, probably legal but somehow looses important info etc, simply not worth the hassle and cost even if they are cheap.

H&R wouldn't insure me on a litre bike, said it was in too high a group and they couldn't cover it. Ebike were good when I had 0NCB but since then MCEdwards have been the best by far.

R1 in 1st 6 months of riding!! can you not wait for 6 months to get a years experience?

FWIW when I went from GSXR600 to Fireblade insurance only wanted £24 admin charge until the end of April. I'm with Carole Nash.
