Just wondering if anyone has any knowledge of this. My car has just stopped locking properly using the remote. When I push the button, the passenger door locks (driver's door lock doesn't move at all) and then unlocks. Applying logic to the situation, I am assuming it is the driver's door lock that is causing the problem, and the passenger door is unlocking due to it's sidekick remaining unlocked throughout the whole process. I am thinking of ordering a new driver's door lock in the hope that it will fix it, but obviously if there is an easier/different solution, I am all ears. When using the key in the lock, evrything works fine by the way. Any help would be fantastic.

It does sound like the locking system in the drivers door has gone wrong but i wouldn't assume the actual lock has gone wrong without checking it first.

Hope this helps

Had a similar problem. It would lock then unlock. Started off with dodgy central locking but then ultimately key stopped working too. Replacement of Drivers Door Lock sorted it.

Thanks Ravix. Looks like i am in the same boat. I had the door trim off yesterday and managed to get it working intermittently, but i won't be happy until I know it will work every time. Luckily a new lock is only 30 squid plus the freight to get it to me. Incidently, is it easy enough to replace yourself without any sort of electrical gremlins developing, or is it safer to get it done by a "professional"?
