This forum has been known to be nothing but critical of EERC in the past so I think everyone should congratulate james and Claire and all the gang at the EERC for pulling it off - and for having the balls to even try!

And that includes you 2priestsferrari!!

Thank You Very Much to all the teams that entered and to the EERC for a great event, deffinatly the best event i've been to this year and what an experiance! The races in the morning where very entertaining and enjoyed the pit walk the cars looked brilliant out in the pits. Good to chat to some of the teams all very friendly!
Shame to see a few of the cars fall out straight away but a very good start, sat opposite the pits for the first few hours, good watching the cars have there pit stops!
The cars going into the dark made for some great pictures even on my rubbish camera, and listerning to them scream down the straight!
Then cycled round the track with a few friends just after midnight and suprised to see so many people on the far side of the track with there tents.
The hanger straight was amazing with the cars breaks glowing red, and then had fun watching the top gear car take out the CHAD MOSLER!!!
Made it round till the fog came round down at beckets and made my way back to the straight. Don't know if any of the teams could make the few lonly very cold people in the stands, and it was cold at the top of the stand. Thats where i grapped just over an hours sleep before they re-started, and stayed for the whole race, great to see so many cars finish well done everyone!!!

Can't wait for next years tickets and all my mates enjoyed it too, back to boring school now!

Thanks for reading and congratulations again.

I wouldnt have said this forum is nothing but critical. I think even the people who criticize it support it, and everyone wants to see it go from strength the strength and keep on improving.

The EERC, BRSCC and all the teams put on a great event, and it should be remembered it needs all of those people working together to take it to its full potential, which I hope and believe it can make....

IMHO the next challenge is to bring in the spectators, and I dont mean the fantastic and hardy and loyal few who have stuck out some fairly terrible conditions ( dictated by silverstone rather than the EERC).

I believe this event should be able to be come as big as the GP.. but to do that the BRDC and the Silverstone old boys club need to put their not inconsiderable talent and weight behind it and actively support JT. There are a few that have issues with the way JT organises things but you cant argue that he has put on something which few believed anyone could.

It did see a few very hardy souls still in the grandstand through the mist, It made me feel much warmer sat in my bright red prat perch hehe

still we had the electronic pit board to keep us warmm.. Its amazing how many messages you can come up with in 4 lines with 4 characters in each...hehe

Cheers

This was our first outing in Britcar (#70 & #71 the green and orange Porsche 968s) and we found the event to be very well organised and the EERC staff exceptionally helpful and supportive throughout the weekend.

Hats off to James, Claire and the rest of the team for a great weekend.
