Hi guys I'm posting this on behalf of my dad

His 350z has a gear change warning light that lets you know when you need to change up, however the light on his car is now coming on around 3.5k as opposed to 7k

Does anyone out there know what might be causing this, and is it anything to worry about

The car is just out of warranty, so just trying to work out what the issue could be before taking it to the dealers

I thought it was programmable? Check the owners book.

Yes it is programmable - use the controls for the computer on the left side of the instrument binnacle to alter it.

As already mentioned completely adjustable to any particular revs, check the computer

Cheers guys

I've not had a chance to read the manual, it's my dads car.

I'll pass on the good news to him. I think he was worried a trip to the dealers would be required.

If your getting it to come on at 7k and your car is out of warranty you've bigger issues. All cars that age will have the DE version of the VQ35 which has it's limiter at 6600rpm.
