LE MANS CAMPSITES
Discussion
Can anyone suggest a campsite for Le mans, we ideally would like something quite lively and idealy with a toilet block and not a blocked toilet, we are on a tight budget so suggestions would be appreciated, also has anyone else used euro tunnel for the crossing before ?
Also if there are any people in the yorkshire area who are going we are having a pre le mans get togethor on saturday the 22nd at Squires cafe bar near Sherburn in elmet, you are free to come along and share knowledge !

Yes. It's brilliant. Cheap as well. 35 minute crossing drive off the train onto the motorway and away. Use lane 2 at the other end if you're in anything low! (or was it don't use lane 2, I can't remember)5 of us travelled from Manchester last year in a 7 seater pug 807 (I think) rented it between us, spent the night in a hotel close to Dover on the Wed and used speedferries thursday am. Teamlangoustine provided the camping, entrance and Grand stand tickets.
We'll be doing the same again for next year.

Basically, just the price of the tickets, hardly anything on top.
Take a look on their website at this year's prices, register your interest and they'll mail you an aplication to fill in for tickets ect when the dates and camping allocations have been released from the ACO...

They had a big tent set up with a large screen TV, beer and BBQ. Basically, when not watching the motor racing, we watched the Football on their TV. Drink their beer, throw a euro or two in the pot, eat from the BBQ throw a Euro or two in the pot. All very civilised and all very relaxed, and a nice bunch of guys.
Like I said, we didn't attend this year, but will be going again next year. No qualms at all about using them again.

Can anyone cofirm 100% if the Houx Annex site will be used next year or has the building of a stadium carpark started yet, please no romours fact only.
The facts (as at about six weeks ago) is that the ACO say that HA will not be available as it will be stadium carparking. Since you only want facts I won't say any more that might be useful to you...

Redcabbage,
TL used Houx Annexe for their set up, so will be affected next year. I know that they have been approached by the ACO and have requested a large dedicated area, but have not heard officially where that is likely to be.
They do have allocation in Houx and Beausejour as well.
I am sure they will send a mail shot out as soon as there is official news and most likely post here also.
