Was talking to a mate (ex cerbie owner) about my clutch woes and he was telling me about the fun and games he had fitting his own clutch. He claims that first time he fitted it the pedal worked in the opposite way it should i.e. depressing the clutch pedal engaged the clutch and releasing it disengaged it. Apparently one of his mechanic friends came and tidied up after his mistake?

Anyway I told him he was talking crap it would either work or not. Were going to speak to the mechanic who 'fixed' it but in the mean time can someone please tell me I'm not mistaken... I have several beer tokens riding on this!

cheers
Pete

I think I'm with you on this one. Press the pedal and it forces a piston down, which pushes the fluid to the slave cylinder, which then pushes the 'fingers' to disengage the clutch - can't see how you could get it wrong !! scratchchin

Also there isn't enough spring pressure on the return to provide enough force to disengage the clutch.
