Anyone know of a good mobile company who can helicoil/repair a thread on a aluminium head?

Exhaust studs? If so I did mine myself, good value kits are available from the likes of Onecall that include drill, tap and insertion tool as well as helicoils (~£25). e.g.: V-coil

Make sure you have the right size and thread pitch and you can't gom wrong.

hehe Fair point, its a rather misleading turn of phrase I use.

nah its an oil way out of the side of the head, leading to a oil pressure switch and the supercharger oil feed

I do try some work myself, but drilling the head doesn't take my fancy

Got someone coming to have a look at it tomorrow morn, so hopefully i'll be back on the road for the show at tradegar house Sunday smile
