Can't believe my luck - once again I'm going to have to spend some more money on my Chimp. A stone has gone through my headlight and smashed all the glass. Does anyone know if I have to replace the whole unit or can I just get some new glass (a vain hope methinks!).
Cheers.

Glass only is available and relatively simple fix (satisfying too)...bonded in to rubber bezel with RTV. Obvious how to go once plastic nacelle removed (two nuts or wingnuts at bottom accessed from grille aperture, bonded on bed of RTV at top...be gentle. If your glass is in pieces, watch your fingers!

V8??...just four TL1000s zip-tied together, innit!?

We have some second hand lenses available (ex-headlight conversions).
Five quid each if you pick them up or ten if we post them to you.

PTed: its not really an advert Ted

If replacing headlamp lens - beware. When fitting the new lens, put rubber seal in place (ridges facing outwards), apply sealant, put lens in place and then put plastic headlamp surround in place to make sure it all fits. Once it looks snug, remove surround to make sure it doesn't get stuck to the sealant holding the lens in and then leave to dry before re-fitting the surround. Unfortunately I learnt the hard way and had to do it twice!

I too have smashed one as well!
Does anyone have a spare lens post conversion, etc. that I could purchase? Clive?

If you are replacing one I would suggest that you may like to consider replacing them both.

My only reasoning is that I had one of mine go and replaced. Now one lens looks a lot cleaner and brighter than the other.

Try Webbs Autos (TVRBodyshop.co.uk). They do loads of headlight conversions so should be able to sort you out.
