For sale - what do you think it is worth?
Discussion
Hi all,
I am afraid I must leave TVR ownership for a while. Mind you, I drove in this morning thinking all was wondeful.
But to the point, it hates speedbumps and I drive in traffic a lot these days, which is not ideal. I have advertised it here and put £14,000 on it, but am unsure whether that is realistic or not. Advert here http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/239479.htm
all feedback appreciated as ever

I agree. we are heading towards Autumn (anyone know what happened to summer?)
Looks like a nice car, but I'd be suprised if it goes for much more than £12K. If you look at the prices on Autotrader it doesn't stand out.
There's no harm in trying though, and if noone bites drop the price a bit every week; but as Jev indicates, the price you will get is going to drop with the temperature, so if you don't get any response don't wait too long before getting with the market.
Probably a good place to start but expect you'll need to be realistic/flexible on what you're prepared to sell it for, otherwise you'll still have it next spring. Sold my blue 99 450 recently with half that mileage for not a lot less that your asking price - similar spec and condition but with Estoril wheels. Hope you find a buyer, but be prepared for the post-sale anguish - it gets to you everytime you see a TVR or the empty space in the garage.
