I've been using AutoGlym wheel cleaner on my OZ alloys for a few months, every 2-3 weeks. It really gets through the brake dust.

BUT...the little studs that run round the wheel have turned a really manky black colour over the last couple of weeks. On close inspection they are incredibly pitted.

I would recommend that you avoid using this stuff!

Does anyone know if/where I can get/have these studs replaced?

I use autoglym and have no problem?
Once in a while though but mostly soap and water.
Can't remember excactly (as mentioned here I think but around 2-3 quid a screw and a special tool to undo them. All memtioned in this section so a search will show it up. Also don't use wonder wheels as it eats the seal.
Are they that bad that they need replacing?

Yeah, they are very bad. There are pits in them that are nearly a millimeter deep, and they are black. The surface is rough like pummice stone. The rest of the wheel is fine, its just these studs.
I didn't have any problems for the first three months or so of usage, and then they suddenyl went in the space of a couple of weeks...aybe some coating gradually wore off, and then the underneath showed through? The product I used does warn some surfaces can be affected in this way, so after the frist use I watched closely, and I've always thoroughly rinsed them with a hose after cleaning.
Thanks for the links.
