cracking pics steve. have e25 bought the superleggara? how does it compare to a "normal" gallardo?
No, its Jonny5's old car.....I think the standard G is one of the best looking cars out there - the perfect embodiment of a modern day compact supercar. The SL just takes it to the next level with its sprinkling of carbon, gorgeous wheels, lower stance etc.... and the interior is a big step forward. I've never really warmed to the G interior but the SL with its acre's of carbon & alcantara is just lush. The seats are fantastic too.
To drive? Harder, faster, more aggresive in its responses. Its definately less progressive at the limit, but still reasonably manageable as you can feel the 4wd shifting power around to keep things straight.... it does oversteer quite readily though! Biggest dynamic difference is the steering - you really feel like you can drive the car on its front end, such is the resistance to understeer and immediacy of turn in, its definately a good 20-25% sharper than a standard car in this respect. The rest of the chassis follows suit - body control is vice like, it just doesn't roll and there is no residual energy going lock to lock.
Overall I think it's a fantastic balls-out hooligans tool, probably one of the fastest ways of getting from a-b there is. Oh, and it sounds absolutely mega-
ing brilliant

These are some of your best work I reckon steve,
Thanks!_dobbo_ said:
although I'm not sure about the inconsistent white balance - is that deliberate?
Actually its not white balance. In some of the shots, mainly those with a relatively monotone background I've played around a bit - desaturate + increased contrast._dobbo_ said:
I figured it was deliberate. I like the effect I just don't know how well they work as a set when the colour is inconsistent - if you see what I mean?
Still great pics though. I really need to get out shooting cars again, I miss it.
It'd be very easy to process them in such a way as to make them hang together as a set, however as this wasn't a magazine shoot I had the freedom to be little more experimental with some of the PP.....Still great pics though. I really need to get out shooting cars again, I miss it.
