I've been trying to upload photos from the Ace London to Brighton run for what seems like ever, how is it done?

Tryed the imageshack website from advice before but nothing seems to work for me, even got a mate over last night to help but no joy. Feel like kicking the computer out of the window.

Advice please if you can?

No idea mate. Did it once with an old car, and have had detailed instructions how to do it several times.....However, it just doesn't work. I once spent aboput an hour trying to do it and the pc just ignored me. Feckin thing was nearly set on fire...

I use flickr to host the photo and then click on all sizes and it gives a static link for the photo. This can be used with the IMG tags on PH.

The photos aren't too big, taking too long?

I use photobucket. You can set it to give you the address of the photo in forum friendly formatting.

I used to use my ISP FTP space but now I use photobucket - real easy, just sign up, upload your pics and the check out "your album" where your uploaded pics will appear. With Photobucket you even have some fields below each picture which will allow you to copy a link for posting on forums - just click the one beside "direct" and then...

type [pic]PASTE DIRECT LINK HERE[/pic]

Nothing else to it!

PH is backwoards when it comes to uploading pics, most other forums you can do it directly with some kind of size limit.

PH is still running in the 1990's

With the number of active users/topics, the storage space required to allow everyone to upload images would be immense!!

Seconded, I post in Kit car forums, Bike forums and here and all have either big limits to the size of the pics or you ahve to post them on webshots or such like first to post them in a forum

You're right, storage is pi55cheap, easy to come by, and not difficult to manage.

The bandwidth involved in hosting and serving the same storage on the other hand might possibly be a tad expensive. Did you think of it that way?
