I've had the Chim 6 months now, and I've noticed a twitch. This has been getting worse, but since I had the Offords Cherry Bombs fitted it has been much worse.

If I give you an example. Approach a roundabout at a few leptons, brake, down a gear or two and (assuming its clear) enter the roundabout. As you come around and see the exit the "twitch" happens - my right foot jerks to the floor. I have noticed that the car gets noisier which makes my left leg and arm twitch as well. The fuel gauge moves towards empty and my face goes tight and my teeth show e.g. biggrin

My questions are

a) Does anyone else have this problem?
b) how can I tell my wife this is perfectly normal behaviour and to stop gripping the transmission tunnel for dear life? ranting
c) why can't the guy in the Porsche hear me shouting "get out of the b!oddy way!" but I can still hear my wife shouting "slow down!" shout

Thanks in advance for your help

You have a passenger seat fitted ! Blimey, you do know they weigh at least 8kg don’t you. The extra weight probably explains the fuel consumption. Take the seat out, the car will go quicker so that you can get where you are going before the fuel runs out, it also solves problem b

or you could fold the seat down to save the weight without having the trouble of taking it out biggrin

Uh Oh, I'm picking up my first Chimaera on friday. I had heard rumours about these so-called twitchy right legs. I wonder if I'll be affected. I've also heard it's contagious......

I feel I should warn MrE that it's not peculiar to Chim's fitted with Cherry Bombs; it can affect any of us, and regularly does. It happened to me only yesterday, and by the time I'd regained control of my right leg, I'd blown the doors off some anonymous BMW as I went past it at around NSL+60. So be careful, it can occur at any time!

As for the seat thing, smile I think it's already all been said.
