Nurburgring October Sunday 13th - Tuesday16th
Discussion
Well me and a good friend are off to the Ring in October and wondered if anyone wants to come along.
In final preperations over the next 5 days to book hotels and eurotunnel tickets.
The Ring will be open all day Sunday and 1pm till late on the Monday.
Looking at crossing the channel at about 10am ish and and arriving at the hotel later that evening with some nice driving on the way.
Costs are not to much
about £140 for the Tunnel
about £60 ish for Hotels + Food & Beer
about £150 petrol! its about 800-1000 miles there and back depending on where you are coming from.
and when you are there its just tickets for the ring and petrol.

Yeah really well thanks chap, we only managed to use one lap of the pass as there was a big off when we were going round and it was closed for the rest of the evening after that.
The course the next day was excellent, really enjoyed myself and learnt loads about the lines and how to attack the road. My girlfriend managed to spin the car round at least 3 times whilst she was out with Ed at about 120mph, luckily she didn't hit anything and stopped on the grass eventually, shook her up a fair bit though and she decided to stick to passenger laps for the rest of the day.

Its amazing how much you learn isn't it? Especially on lines, I thought it was so good I'm seriously considering doing it again. The course the next day was excellent, really enjoyed myself and learnt loads about the lines and how to attack the road. I can only assume that Ed likes spinning/crashing with students ...

Btw, the ticket didn't come from me.
I'll be there on the Friday.
If you're in the area, there's the Lotus on Track Elise Racing Drivers Championship (in addition to other things) at Spa Francorchamps that weekend:

Going to the Ring Nov 8th & 9th for the R.M.A. Track Day Event two full days with No bikes and a open straight
so no having to pull in to come back through the barrier after every lap. so it should be fun and as many laps as you wish 09.00 till 17.00 both days.
and yes i know it is november but last year it was tee-shirt weather and dry both days. so hopfull all will be well
