I might be a bit behind the times here, but I have just seen a preview of the next Total War game in PCGamer.
As many had hoped it is set in the 18th century. So there will be a new strategy (building a world empire) and new battlefield tactics.
Even more excitingly you now have proper naval battles (the screenshots of which are awesome)
