Guys and Gals,

Its been a while since I posted so hello again...wavey

I have just come back from what has to be described as the best weekend of my life...

Some friends and I organised a Eurohoon http://www.eurohoon.mcsw.co.uk

This saw us go from the UK down to Millau Viaduct (Top Gear stylee) and then over to the Nordshleife in Germany.

Anyhoo whilst on one of my laps (Nordshleife) I had a wee slide I hit there racing kerb which activated the kill switch in the car...(Video will be uploaded to site)

Since then when my car is idling but only ever 1k or under then my oil pressure light starts to flicker and stay on..as soon as I touch the loud pedal then it dissapears..Now my oil gauge has been a bit messed up for a while so I cannot get an accurate reading.

I have checked under the car and I cannot see anything wrong, I have checked the wires for the Sender and all seems fine. I have done a search and most problems related to low oil pressure seem to be when the car is under load..

Any ideas? all help gratefully received...I will probably get a new sender unit anyway..

Regards,

Deano

V8 cheers for the reply,

I have checked the underneath of the car and the only scrapes I have seen (red and white Kerb paint) was mid car on a couple of the chasis nuts..It was quite a jolt though...

So I take it I will need to take the sump off.

Regards

just have a quick scan, the oil pick up pipe sits pretty much in the middle of the sump about 10mm above the flat line of it, so if it looks like it has gone up into the engine at all then yes it will well be worth taking it off for more inspection!
