I might have it but I can't go looking in the loft until tomorrow and I dont' have a scanner at home so it'll be Monday at work when I can get it scanned. If you haven't posted by Monday to say you've managed to get one elsewhere I'll scan it, if indeed I do have it, and then contact you to ask where to send it.

Me too. I still rembember reading it and thinking, one day...

As it happens, that day was the 30th June this year and I'm now the owner of a mint 30k miler exactly the same as the one Autocar road tesed IIRC biggrin

Happy days.

Okay... I have good news and bad news.

The good news: I've found the Autocar that I remember having with the M3 Evo in it.

The bad news: It isn't the road test from 1997, it's an article from 1995 about the 'forthcoming' M3 Evo, written before the car came out but after the spec was finalised. They don't drive it but merely give a detailed overview of its technical attributes and anticipated performance along with some photos of the finished article.

Here's a photo of the cover:

I'll scan it at work on Monday if I get chance.

There is also a 18 march 1998 Autocar edition, where they test the Audi S4 vs Merc C43 vs M3 Evo, quite a comprehensive test.

Does anyone want the one I have? I haven't scanned it yet as it doesn't seem to be what people want, but I will if there's some demand.

Sure! It'll be Monday at the earliest now as I don't have a scanner at home, and besides the magazine's in my drawer at work, but yes... no probs!

Okay... I've got round to scanning the BMW 328 + TVR Chimaera review. I'll do the M3 Evo preview article as soon as I get chance. Sorry for the delay - this was because during our company relocaton at the end of August the power cord for my scanner disapeared and it's only just been found! Anyway, as I said, the 328+Chim article is ready so anyone who wants it please PM me your e-mail address.
