Hello

Quick question! What is the best car Shampoo to use with the Gilmour Foamaster II? I know i can buy snow foam and go 50/50 with a car shampoo, but is there any shampoo that just works fine on its own?!

thank you!!
phil.

Snow foam generally does a godo job on its own - as does Meguiars Hyperwash (have to mix it well with hot water first though because of the consistency.

with the foam lance i use 2/3rds foam and 1/3rd Megs Gold - very good combination!

Depending on how dirty the car is or what type of dirt (caked on mud?) then SSF is more than adequate on its own.
I've done a bit of initial testing with Bilt Hamber's new Auto Wash on its own through the Gilmour - quite impressed to say the least.
So, if you think you must mix something in with the SSF, then a small amount of the AW would be my guess.

I used to get decent results with Swarfega Vehicle Wash from Focus, £6 for 5L.

That'd be the one with the 'bits' in it then, to slough off the dead insects, and skin cells from your hands? biglaugh

Where can you get SSF from?

I don't think I've seen it for sale anywhere?

I just got some of that Meguirs stuff, it's ace.

5 minutes with me, the 40psi Karcher and an adaptive lance and the whole area smells like Fou Fou's boudoire at Vidal time.

Bloody superb, damn stuff suds up like a dream and stays thick for yonks.
