I read somewhere that all cars will be allowed to produce no more than 100g of carbon per kilometre by 2020. So it looks like the 'supercar' as we know it is soon to be history. I reckon by 2020 the only fun that's allowed will be on bikes but there's every chance kids born these days will only be able to experience what we have within a computer game. I say lets enjoy it while it lasts.

Except the same eurocrat numties that want this ALSO want to emasculate bikes with ever more stringent emmision and noise legislation, and some of them would have bikes banned altogether if they could.

Whoa doom and gloom!!

I think there's alot more restrictions on politicians than you would imagine. Pressure from manufacturers is very real because of the huge employment etc they represent. They normally strike a compromise in the end at worst...at best, it's just some politician making a bold statement to get their name in the paper. Look at that twit that suggested limiting cars top speeds to 100mph. It'll never happen. Too many peoples incomes (including the politicians) rely on the enterprise behind it.
