Le Mans Series - Silverstone pics from Friday - must see !!
Discussion
Hi there,
For all of you planning on attending the Le Mans Series event at Silverstone on Sunday, you are in for a real treat.
I have been at the track all day and had a superb time. There were loads of nice cars around and come Sunday there will be loads of great racing and what promises to be a superb display of Supercars.
Here are some pics of some of the supercars around the paddock today. It looks like the organisers are creating a large area for the supercars to be displayed in. It will easily take 60-70 cars and judging by the caliber of the cars there today Sunday should be a cracker.
Mosler display - 4 cars in all including the supercharged MT900SC (all red in pics below)

Nice Balloon White Gallardo Spyder

Superb Mercedes McLaren SLR 722 (this is part of the Pistonheads/Team Modena display)

Lastly this was a bit tucked away at the side of one of the teams hospitality tents. All being well should be around on Sunday as it belongs to the owner of one of the teams racing on Sunday.

Really looking forward to the 6 hour race on Sunday. The LMS cars are awesome, really impressed with the new Peugeot 908 sounds just like a diesel Mondeo but goes like stink easily the fastest car on track.

See you all Sunday.
Regards
Tim

...GULP..... the GT2 is gonna look a bit out of place in that company !
Hi there,
Not at all, there was a lovely Silver GT2 in the paddock area. Kept walking past it and thinking that they still look a superb car.
See you at Leicester Forest East.

silver is so common though ! - midnight blue in the 'new silver'!!

Hi guys,
Just working through some of my pics and thought I would share these two with you.
If anyone has looked at the timetable for tomorrow they will have seen there is a Peugeot 207 Spider Cup race in the morning. Up until yesterday I had not seen these cars but I reckon it should be a great race tomorrow. There will be 10 or 15 of these little cars battling it round on track. They are all equally powered 1598cc 175bhp turbo charged open top cars. Look out for car number 1 which is driven by Chris Harris from Autocar

Unfortunately the CER (Classic Endurance Race) is not part of Sundays programme, there was only one race for this series and that was this afternoon (Saturday). Previous years have seen a small field for this race but this year the grid was huge. There was some superb cars in this event including 4 BMW M1's. What a fantastic sight.
