E39 airbag light

just recieved the airbag warning light on my 523, does anyone have any information on where and how to start diagnosing it before i send it to an auto electrician?

is there some form of reset i can try, or a module i can unplug??

Had the same fault. New sensor fitted by dealer for about £50 quid.

Had the same problem . Dealer quoted £450.00 for loom problem . Mechanic friend cleaned contacts under passenger seat for £25. ALL O.K
