Here's a few shots of my new toy that I'm picking up on Tuesday 18th. It looks been built very wisely and I'd challenge people to find a faster car for the money. Spec includes:

-1.6 Shell (no sunroof) totally stripped out.
-Piper 270 camshaft
-1.9 engine running on twin 40 carbs (jetted for track use so useless on the road)
-1.6 gearbox with lightened and balanced flywheel
-OMP lightweight roll cage
-Corbeau bucket seats with harnesses
-306 GTI6 front calipers and disks
-in car brake bias valve
-front strut brace
-Adjustable front suspension (Camber and castor)
-uprated rear beam bushes
-braided brake lines all round
-Fire extinguisher
-Michelin N20 cut slicks (for the dry)
-Toyo Proxies T1S's (for the wet)

Have a few plans to make it faster still by putting it on a diet, going to get some perspex windows and maybe look at fibre glass body panels and a small race car battery. If the engine goes pop then of course will look at a Mi16 conversion.

Any other ideas or tips will be greatly appreciated!

I nearly went to look at this car. Is it road legal?
i bought a track prepped 205 MI16.
I was looking for ages to find one. When are you doing your first track day in it. Might be good to get together on a track day.
How do i copy a pic onto this thread?? I'll be able to show you a pic.

Jonny.

No not road legal, that was kinda the point as I can chuck more stuff out of it and don't have to worry about the cost of insurance/tax/MOT's etc. And if I were unfortunate enough to stuff it into a barrier then I can just trailer it back and fix it up for not a lot of cost just the time it takes me. The way I look at it is the trailer will pay for itself after a year with what it saves me keeping her non-road legal. The biggest barrier to getting her MOT'd again would be the emissions, it would need smaller jets on the carbs and re-setting up I suppose.

As for putting you pictures up try hosting it on another site like photobucket and post a link to it, or if you really can't be bothered then just email them me through my profile and I'll put them up for you.

Advertised at £1200 but then he knows I'm doing a 500 mile round trip with a trailer so knows I'm serious so don't know if he'll budge on price at all.

I bought a 1.6 GTi last year with 309 front and rear gubbins, Leda adjustables on the front, Bilstein dampers at the back, SD cage, cut down dash with gauges, stripped interior, poly side windows, buckets & 5 point harness, 2 sets of wheels and a bare Mi engine for £1500.

So i'd say your £1200 is a bobby bargain.

We did a deal at £1150 in the end, I didn't haggle too hard as he was a really nice and helpful chap and the car was a bargain anyway. I do know that it had been advertised for months and buyers that turn up with cash in their pockets and a trailer don't grow on trees!
