smokinHaving browsed through this months Sprint conspicuous in absence was any form of news from the Devon contingentscratchchin. Is this due to little or nothing happening in the Devon region I ask myself? Surely not. Can anyone enlighten me if this was an over site by the current R.O. or could he just not be bothered? Oh and the official Devon TVR website appears to have fallen by the wayside tooloser

What on earth are you on about?

The report for Devon was sent in but my remote server has trouble interacting with TVRCC.com for some reason, this was only highlighted this month as my report went in early and the RO report list didn't have Devon on it. I then emailed Pietro direct to get it in, I missed last month because I was at Rockingham.

The website is completely up to date too even with all upcoming events ready until 2008.

Devon & Cornwall has never been better.

Amazing how a region can go from regular meets of 10 + cars to a handfull. As for the Devon report, who wants to read somebodies diary every month.Good to see so many at West Bay today.

Everybody knows that when Devon and Cornwall was combined there used to be in the region of five or six meets a year with an average of two to three cars.

There are now a minimum of 18 meets across the counties with organised activities and visits and more cars attending than ever.

JWT63 (the old R.O.s number 2) and Just Trouble (old webmaster) isn't it time to let it go. You had your chance at running the region and you couldn't make it work - you failed.
It's now working and you don't like it, time to move on.

As an addendum to the above, from other threads on here other parts of the country appear to be suffering from the old Devon syndrome. The only advice to offer those concerned is to do what Devon and Cornwall did - new broom and all that.

Can someone help JT he appears to be lost. wink

Last time I checked, Devon was between Cornwall and Somerset/Dorset. Unless somebody moved in the night.

Devon region is one of the few progressive regions in the TVRCC as far as I can see. Why don't you come along to a meet and see for yourself? Clearly you are upset because the report was missing from Splint, so you must still be interested in what's going on. You can't stand in the way of progress you know! Both Devon and Cornwall are flourishing with more cars turning up more regularly to more meets.

A case of sour grapes???

Just wondering if everybody in the photos are paid up members of TVR Car Club.

Oh for the record an average of 8 cars turned up for meets.I still have the pics.

Its easier to manage when you have just The Devon Region.

Hello mate, long time no see! I was up your neck of the woods a couple of weeks ago for The Police gig, Nick invited me along to the Brighton Speed Trials, I said I would love to make it but explained I was crashing at Shnozz's gaff the night before in Southampton. When the twelve year old MaCallan came out in the wee hours I knew it wasn't going to happen! biggrin

As for TVRCC fighting, it used to happen but not anymore, it's rocking down here now.

Ever fancy a holiday come on down... leave London head south before you go into the sea turn right.

On a different tip, why don't we have a might a mighty weekender of it down here in 2008. We could combine it with the Warks & W Mids pilgrimage to Newquay.

Nick, we're not really used to sheep tactics dowm here but i'm sure we can specially arrange something for you. biggrin
