MK4 Golf Front Suspension problem...
Discussion
Hi there...
I'm normally over on the Lotus forum but the missus' Golf has just started having a bit of a hiccup.
Basically the front drivers side spring is rotating when the wheel is turned and the car is either stationary or moving slowly.
We only noticed it as we moved the cars on the driveway this evening. It presented itself as a "twanging" noise. I had a look up into the wheel arch and the spring is visibly moving with rotation of the wheel. It seems like it's under some kind of restriction and then releases itself creating the twang noise.
Any advice on what it might be would be appreciated.
Is this gonna be costly?
(I hope not as the missus will definitely make me wait for the new exhaust for my Elise in favour of getting this sorted)
