More advice required with Gremlins in the cerb.
When driving along the drivers door occasionally decides to pop open. I dont think its a shor on the door opener switches or wiring as the window doesnt drop. checked the proximity switch in the door and thats fine.
Need to sort out asap as when hard cornering round left hand bends, oncomming traffic is a worry :-)

I have opened the door using the "flat battery" method, but have made sure all has been replaced to its original position...... not sure if this would effect it?

only thing I could recommend it to unplug the door/window box for half an hour & to check the connections

Had this problem on mine and it was one of those things I had sorted on my list of things to do on my last service so will ring and find out what it was.

Does this happen at low speed or more like 70+? I had a problem of the driver's door opening at higher speeds (a lil'bit more excitement than is actually required in a Cerb) and it turned out to be how the lock mech had been set up. I think the mech is actually a Vauxhall part that has an additional pin welded to it. If I remember correctly there are 3 wire cables attached to the mech in total allowing the 2 manual (emergency)methods of opening and the one electrical (standard) method. In my car one of the cables had been preset with too much tension so although it seemed like it was fully locked it was in fact semi-opened. This caused the door to open when the cabin pressure got to a certain level. The window wouldn't drop too so to close the door again it was a mad fumble for the window button then a quick slam of the door! The remedy was to loosen off the cable. This is a simple task if not a little fiddly to get to and involved getting to the mech via the trim directly behind the door. You might find an extra pair of hands will help replacing the mech after the alteration.

Hope this was relevant/useful.
