Brought a new daily snotter last week, another Mondeo TD after my last one suddenly died of a broken fuel pump.

The last one was a N reg that had only done 97k and pulled like a train, the 'new' one is a P reg that has done 156k and seems a lot slower but quieter than the previous one, almost as if the turbo isn't kicking in low down in the rev-range enough. It has only done 4k in the last year according to the MOT database, and had been stood for about 6 weeks before I brought it. I've given it a service including oil and filter change, new fuel filter, didn't bother changing the air filter as it still looked fine (and the factors didn't have one in stock at the time) I also put in a bottle of redex diesel injector cleaner in before filling up.

The car doesn't seem to smoke at all, normally you can notice some smoke in the dark when another car's headlights behind light it up in the reflexion in the mirrors but I have to say this looks like the cleanest diesel I've had. I've also had a good poke around under the bonnet in case an inter cooler pipe or such had come loose but I can't see anything amiss. I've only done about 100 miles in it so far in the week I've had it so will have to see if it's used any more or less fuel than normal next time I fill up.

Has anyone got any ideas what could be wrong and why this one feels so slow compared to my previous Mondeo or could it just be the higher mileage taken it's toll?

Many thanks for your help.
