Goodwood Breakfast Meeting - Sunday 7th October
Discussion
From time to time, the CCCUK has had a presence at some of the famous monthly Goodwood Breakfast meetings. See http://www.goodwood.co.uk/breakfastclub/
The next one is scheduled for Sunday 7 October 2007 at Goodwood Motor Racing Circuit, Goodwood, Chichester, West Sussex. This meeting is the Americana event with a theme of 'Cooked in 60 seconds and Americana – giants of the open road'. There are plans for a special display of as many cars as possible from the 50 cars featured in the film ‘Gone in 60 Seconds.’
If your Corvette is one of the two featured in the film (a quick check in your garage is required to see if you have a 1953 or a 1967 L71) and you would like to take part in the special display, then please contact cooked@goodwood.co.uk and they'll be sure to reserve you a place. Don't worry if your car is a year or two out but it is first come, first served.
The Breakfast Club is open from 08:30 to 12 noon. The event is free to everyone regardless of what you arrive in and there is plenty of public parking. There are Burger Vans selling coffee and bacon rolls etc and a full breakfast is available in the Vitra Café.
These Breakfast meetings have proved extremely popular and it is essential to get there early to park in the main Vitra area although for this meeting it may be full of the Gone in 60 Seconds cars. Also, if we arrive en masse, we should be able to park together.
I am therefore suggesting a meeting point, at the McDonalds on the A27 roundabout, Chichester, PO19 7WT with a leaving time of 8.30am sharp for the short drive to the Circuit.

If you are coming to the Breakfast Meeting this Sunday and if you fancy hanging around for a spot of lunch afterwards, how about cruising to The Smith & Western Diner adjacent to Chichester Railway Station?
For those of you not familiar with this small chain of restaurants, they are themed on Wild West America, are good fun and are highly recommended. http://www.smith-western.co.uk/index.asp?upid=7
There is ample parking and the restaurant do not need a booking from us, but have asked me to advise numbers during the morning on Sunday. If you fancy coming along, please let me know at Goodwood.
Hope to see you Sunday
