Removing stick on (adhesive) number plate

Hi,

I just bought a car which has an adhesive registration on the bonnet.
How can I remove this big sticker without damaging the paint ?
This is not the original paint...car repainted some years ago...

Haven't had to do this for some years but we heated it up with a hot air gun (not close to the car) and slowly pulled it off. Do it gradually and keep checking you don't make it too hot. The remainder of the glue will probably respond to Autoglym Tar Remover.

i had a similar problem used autoglym intensive tar remover worked a treatand does'nt damage the paintwork you can use loads
