Hi guys,
I was a mates wedding on Saturday and took a whole load of pics.
He had a pro photographer but i thought i would get him some nice natural shots that he can keep or bin at jis leasure.
Only problem is i could with some photoshop help.
I have done my best with all the pics and they look pretty good to me.
I would like to give them something special like a black and white confetti shot with the confetti in colour.
How hard would that be?

Thanks Reidy

It's relatively easy, but can I just say something... she will NOT like that picture of herself smile

You need to duplicate the layer, desaturate the top layer leaving the underneath one colour, then using your eraser icon on brush setting, just erase out the confetti on the top layer smile

Also like this picture but someone stuck a head in at the last second.
Any ideas of how i could salvage it?

Trust me and Mrs Fish. She'll hate that picture of her. Also, always a good idea to get approval on shots of peeps before posting pics of them on the internet. If you have some shots of her smiling and with her eyes open, what you have planned will make a lovely picture.

Looking at that pictures though, it will be a bit pointless because most of the confetti looks white anyway so you aren't going to get much of an effect, unless you have some better shots of the confetti. smile

You are probably right.
After a year and a bit of marriage i have realised they are never happy.
i did get some nice pictures mind you that i am sure she will be happy with.
These are just the ones i would like to save and learn something at the same time.
Cheers

Regarding second picture, is the head what is causing the blur in the bottom left of picture? You could always use the burn tool, which is the hand one, to darken his jacket smile

To get a rough idea of a few mins work. I think the confetti is too blown.

As said. A lot of the confetti looks blown so not much colour could be taken from it. I tried to get a halo of colour as such, around it's edge. If it's the effect you were going for I'll tell you how or actually put time into doing it smile

Not the best smile she's pulling! if you want it taken down, just say/ PM/ get mod to.

Just to mention, got a bit of CA on the top of her shoulder smile

Really nice pic smile
I don't have anywhere to upload, but i'd try doing a b+w image using one of the colour channels, probably red. A couple of red channel layers with the top set to overlay. Then maybe curves for a duotone effect smile

Cheers.
