Need help with loom routing

Hi
Where the loom comes out of the ns sill(same hole as the bottom door hinge bolt access)does it go up or straight along the floor where it connects to the main loom.
There is a slight recess going up the door surround however it will be so close to the rubber surround I can't see how I can bond the carpet properly.
Has anyone recarpeted recently or taken a door off remember?
