my 12 2.5 has 28k miles showing on the clock .the recommended oil is i believe 5w-40w shell helix.can a 10w-40w be used or is it a little to thick for cold start .only asked as ive 20ltrs of silkolene pro s lying around from my evo days.also noticed the oil filter part no used on the wiki is for which model or is it the same for all

If the car was not used for longer periods i think a higher cold viscosity may help rather than an oil that is too thin. Thats my own take on it tho, so let the Nobility experts answer. I was always told (think it was opieoils that confirmed) that its not great for an engine to keep chopping and changing oil. No idea why now tho!
