My Tamora shown what real power is!
Discussion
i was trundling up the E40 towards belgium this morning and something came right up behind me at a fair rate of knots. normally if it's anything 'normal' then i'll let it pass and carry on my way. i've no interest in being the fastest thing on every motorway i travel on (these days).
i pulled over a lane and let him past. it was a GT40 (450 ***) anyone know if that's owned by someone on here? thatphilbrettguy perhaps?
anyway, despite the road being fairly damp, he looked like he wanted to play....... so i gave it a go. my god that's a quick car when the taps are opened up. the speed limit signs said 130 so we both pushed that far
on long clear straights. he was pulling away fairly significantly and when he let me infront to lead the game, he was glued to the back of me.
my tam is the 3.6 with no fettling bar a rebuild a couple of thousand miles ago, so it is basically what was bottom of the range in the post rover v8 era. it didn't do badly by any means, especially as the GT40 is very much a 'super' car and possibly in the bracket coined 'hyper' car.
would the t440 have given it a run for it's money? or the typhoon? even a well tuned tuscan (4.0) or cerb with properly mapped engine? in red rose spec?

I was blown away in my Chimaera twice last year by a Veyron in North Germany.
One of the locals told me its owned by one of the Jagermeister family.
As I was heading for Wolfenbüttel, they could be right.
Made me feel very insignificant.
Anyway all that money and still didnt sound as good as my TVR, he must be very dissapointed.
