Hi,

I would very much appreciate any advice on this.

I basically need a van for plugging up and down the motorway and then moving cr4p about at the other end.

Was thinking about getting an 04 V8 but hit upon the idea of saving around 30K and just getting one of the old ones. Allways liked them.

Seen a few 92/4 Vogues with LPG and was wondering what the score was.

TIA

We used to have a classic with LPG conversion and only cost £25 to fill our 100litre tank, and never went wrong!

Mine's for sale in the classifieds - look for the one about tree huggers. The LPG systems are fairly straightforward, with around 1000 stations in the UK selling autogas, in particular the Calor/Shell joint venture which makes it fairly easy to get hold of and even at the moment with historically high LPG prices, its still only 47 ppl.

Provided its a decent conversion, the engine should run better than on petrol and judging by the colour of the oil its far kinder to the engine as well. Relatively cheap to run for a big V8 in an old car.
