Hi,
I know this question has been asked umpteen times before but can anyone confirm what offset and rim widths I'd need front and rear to go for either 17" all round or 17" front & 18" rear?
IIRC the std offset is 35 or thereabouts - what variance can I get away with from this as there seems to be very little about for the std TVR offset.
Basically I'm trawling fleabay to try and find a bargain (can't afford a set of SP wheels just yet but want to be sure of what I buy.

Try elite in rainham essex they do wheel packages with tyres and bolts and lock nuts. very good prices. The front wheels are peugeot and the rears are ford offsets

From my experience, up to a 7.5 f and 8.5 r you want to be around the standard offsets.Start cramming them in in then you really need to do your homework.
If you buy a set you could probably get away with 28 to 35 all round and spacer the front if required.
I can't believe so many people on here go for a set of smaller width rim's just because the pcd is the same, don't get sucked in to doing this.

I was advised by a nice chap at Compomotive to go for a 32et on the 18" rear, and a 25et on the 17" front. This is also what the SP wheels are.I've gone for 9" rears and 8" fronts(SP are 8"rear/7"front i think). They should be arriving soon,so i'll let you know how well they fit smile. If your looking for nice used stuff, you can often get Raceline RL7's on e-bay,and TVR did them in both 18 and 17",and they look the biz i thinkyes.Only problem there is you will need a 5 stud conversion though.

Thanks for your help guys.
Hard part on E-bay is finding the right sizes F&R, most are sets of 4 all the same size.
Gives me a better idea of what to look for anyway
