Anything's possible but not going to be a bolt-on... try giving Green V8S a yell as he will have considered this variant. Under-bonnet clearance is an issue for positive displacement blowers (as is difficulties in ensuring even charge distribution across intakes), which is why many successful installs feed through the stock plenum. How does the Paxton look like it might mount?

Is it a 'Novi' blower... think they're a centrifugal type and a bit more flexible in the fitting config. Still a major project but big respect if you get it to work smile

A company in Holland called Mosselman were making Paxton kits for the RV8 in the 90's so you could contact them.
I missed out on one of these kits the other day which could of been mine for 500UKP...gutted

I assume it's one of the centrifugal Paxton blowers in which case they conventionally go in front of one of the heads and blow into the plenum. You would have to sort out mounting brackets, drive belt, oil supply and the engine management system, depending on boost you may need to drop the CR and/or upgrade the internals, clutch, gearbox, diff, half shafts, brakes, suspension etc. If you did it right you would probably end up with a solution very similar to the TVR Power one.

I have to say that I agree with Peter,

why do the donkey work again?

the www.sc-power.co.uk blowers are tops, compact and proven and all the developments done. You'd also get a known system on your car that someone might buy, a bespoke system always carrys a worry.

i can pick up the charger for £500 or less, this is also to be a track car
not for resale, so it should keep down the costs of getting decent power
from the rv8,would be £5000 ish to go the other route.

I have looked at DIY supercharger install and come to the conclusion that Powers prices aren't to bad.
£500 is a good price, the ones I have seen were between £1250 and £1600 for 2nd hand kit.
What stopped me in the end are two issues, the first is insufficient clearance infront of the crank pulley to chassis front cross member to get an auxiliary drive pulley on without modifying the chassis and the 2nd was having to part strip down the engine to adjust compression ratio.
When you then add in cost for custom inlet etc. SC Power route starts looking very good.

One 5.2 Rover V8 supercharged. About 525 bhp. Been there done that. The charger was actually one of the cheaper components needed.

I have been considering the TVR power super charger upgrade, but living in Aberdeen makes the logisitcs pretty difficult to get it fitted. Is it posible to buy the equivalent system as a kit from SC performance.
