I'm looking for a material that is like the stuff that ford uses on the back of its dropside trucks. It looks like wood and is not quite plastic or vinal but seems a lot tougher and won't be affected by water.

I need it to cut stone on, so it has to be very flat and resist water ingress. I have been using sheets of ply, even used expensive marine ply but as the saw cuts through eventually it all delaminates to a point where we have to throw it away and start again.

Now I'm not looking for a magic or wonder material but I do need something that won't delaminate just because it gets wet.

Any suggestions?

Acetyl! Tuff as old boots. You can get it in big slabs, but not so cheap!
