ive had my uncles one for 2 weeks since hes on holiday. (07 plate with 1K on the clock)
its the 3.0 tdi and it does pull.
the problem ive had is that the outside handle of the rear drivers side door came out in my hand when opening it (didnt use much force)
but other than that its great and considering getting one myself.

tested the car recently for family use, long trips in Europe etc

I loved the interior, high quality but it looks awful from the outside (especially the rear) and the boot is near useless for space (and the additional 2 seats are a bit of a joke)

nothing that an Audi A6 Avant 3.0 Tdi cannot do even better

there are plenty available second hand on PH and autotrader.co.uk

I would not buy a new one even if I was given the money to do it

I rather like them, drove much more car like than the RR sport I drove too.

The 3.0 Tdi is clerly the choice to go for but the 4.2Tdi is even better.

I also believe there will be a W12 comming out soon.

Pretty much sums it up. The same applies for the X5 and 5 series touring.

Honest I kept my mind open on the "need" for a 4x4 for my family for everyday use and quite practical.

The A6 Avant Quattro was such a great drive compared with the Q7 and you have the added bonus of lots of space in the back of the car.

The frugal 2.7 Tdi (even if I'd rather have the 3.0 Tdi) does the job perfectly.

I am not against 4x4s: PERSONALLY it does not tick all the boxes besides the challening look. Range Rover every day if I want a 4x4.

Hi.

No, not W12 but a V12 TDi bi-turbo with 600 horse alledgedly.

We feel it will be the diesel to end all diesels.

The current 4.2 TDi is awesome for torque and really foes give effortless performance up to 140 - 150mph.
