Does anyone know if limited mileage insurance available for TVR's (partic 1994 Griff 500). Looking at 3000 miles pa max in a low risk rural area for a 37 year old. Car will be a second car not used daily and will be garaged.

I'd bet that most TVR's are on a limited mileage policy of some sort

Try A J Manning Insurance - they are associated with the TVR car club.

Yes you can

I have my Chim 4.0HC insured on a 3000 mile limit for £470 a year.

I'm 32, it's garaged, and in a low risk area ( i think )

Yes, limited mileage policies are available and most will also allow you to change during the year to a unlimited mileage policy for an additional premium (just in case you decide to take your Griff out more than you had planned to!!).

The additional premium payable would be the difference between the annual premium for the limited mileage policy and the annual premium for the unlimited polcy at the time you want to change i.e. it is not pro-rata'd and doesn't go back to the time when you first took out your policy.

I've a Chim on 6000 miles/year with Sunninghill and it saved about £100 with the back-up of being able to extend the mileage limit if needed.
