Hi fellas,

I was getting some intermitent boost recently so I purchased a new boost solenoid from GM. As I started the car this evening to get it out of the garage it ran really lumpy and struggled to idle. Then it cut out. This happened again. Then it would fire up and immediately cut out.

I can hear the fuel pump priming when I turn the key to the start point so I assume it's getting fuel. I don't have any ideas so wondered if any of you guys could help?

Sounds like one of your vacuum hoses that runs from the inlet manifold/plenum has come adrift.

Cheers J. Although I did check it all over and couldn't see anything. Will check with a fresh head and mind tomorrow.

damaged actuator diaphram maybe ?

easy to check... pull the pipe off the bottom of the boost solenoid and blow down the pipe ! If you hear a leak then you've got one !

have you messed around with the vac pipes that go on the inlet manifold? make shure you havnt pushed the biggest one on all the way, check by pushing on it,if it doesnt move then its on too far .pull it back a bit,so you arnt blocking the end.bell me if you have a prob.07723027282 tony
