The open pit lane days are superb, have fun. It's really relaxed, just make sure you keep an eye on what's coming behind you.
I have in excess of 200bhp on a small car, and thought i'd be quick, but when you have a twin bike engined car on the track, you feel very very slow
(the cerb should be okay
Don't go do endless laps, do your ducks and drakes (follow the leader) then you'll come in.
Then let everyone charge off for 15 minutes, then they'll start coming in, and give you clearer track to play with. You'll be surprised how tiring a full day is so that 15 mins is not much to wait, also you can sit on the pit wall and assess what's out and about (ie what to look in the rear view mirror for)
Don't be affraid, I was really nervous, and really there's no need to be, just look out for others.
I had a bit of clear track and got excited going through coram a bit too quick, then didn't line up properly for russell, and ended up spnning! ooops
Spinning off is not as scary as you think either, have fun
ETA, not too sure if you've been to Snetterton before, but forgive me if you know. When you arrive, drive towards the pits, park up somewhere sensible, then sign on at race control, you'll then need to drive over near to where the fuel bay is to have the noise test, as mentioned 105 is the limit.
Once that's done, park up in an empty bay, wait for the call, then line up in the pit lane.

Just back from my 1st track day at Snetterton and am still smiling.
Thanks to great tuitor Ben Elliot was worth having that one to one, can't believe how quickly you can improve your lap times with right coaching, not to mention your confidence.
Will post up some video of day for any that are interested.
Managed to keep on track pretty much all the time apart from 2 spins, no damaged to car or any others phew!
Oil cap blew off at one point because wasn't put on right, will kick mechanic in knackers for that. Scared me to death when I saw oil all over bay!!!
And lost the clutch twice, to do with an air lock.
In short was everything I could have hoped for, will deffo be doing that again!
