Do your garages reek of epoxy as the inside of the car does with the roof on? My garage is in the basement of our house and it would be a downside (small but annoying) to buying a TVR if the entire basement would smell like glue...

Errr.......no. My garage smells of damp and when I start it up carbon monoxide. biggrin

Even with my roof on I can't say've noticed that much of a different smell. I'm sure the whole inside of your garage wouldn't smell of epoxy if only the inside of your car did scratchchin

Surely this is just a myth perpetuated by certain motoring journalists ?!?!

I've never noticed an epoxy smell in my Griff, musty dampness on occasions wink but not epoxy... In all honesty if a car reeked of epoxy it'd be so noticeable and I'm sure TVR would've had trouble selling the cars in the first place.

It's not something I've noticed in my car or the two Griffiths I test drove before I bought mine. My car was a year old when I bought it so if there is any truth to the smelly epoxy it might have been from when the cars were new..... like a new car smell that wore off over time...??

Don't think there's much epoxy in a TVR just plain old polyester

I wish mine smelled off epoxy! All I get is essence of cat pee with a subtle blend of damp carpet!

Funny you should say that - we've had our Chim for 7 weeks now & i've always thought there was something of a cat smell although its much less noticable now
