I've seen them there before, but usually not before 9:30-10:00am when they've had their bacon butties. But this morning they were there at 8:30am to catch the rush hour traffic.

Careful.

Just a headsup. Even though there are now 4 static Truvelo cameras on Dick Lane ( albeit one's been dismantled biggrin ) there was a sneaky camera van on there this morning! Is there _really_ nothing better they can be doing?

They've only just put the cameras up there, do they REALLY need the vans?

Or are they worried that the cameras arent catching people (ie: dont work?????) and want some insurance?

There must have realised that EVERYONE goes back upto 40-45 when there past the scameras!

The amount of people i see crossing 30yds from the crossing is just stupidity and they really need removing from the gene pool.

You're safe, it's nowhere near Idle.

You won't be safe from speeding in that lovely new motor of yours Ady
Is it going well - are you ready to take me out for a trip in it yet?

Are you going on the runs out on Saturday from Harrogate
or to Drivestyle for Free Food and F1 GP on Sunday?

Bout a 5 minute walk I guess (yesterday anyway, at home now in Ilkley)! I work for the Italian Group that own GB on Highfield Rd, so I am there sometimes, Milan H/O often, or our other European factories near Venice and Biarritz (location a bit different from Idle!). But from Thursday ""YIPPEE"" off to the Le Mans Classic (but pile of camping and other stuff in the dining room is currently about 3x Griffith boot volume).

Going back to the original thread, I asked where Dick Lane is and was told "not near you" ... but that wasn't much help as I don't stay still forever, I COULD have been heading whichever way Dick Lane is!

Hi Johnzo

Yes I know GB if fact I used to print cheques and other computer items for them
in the dim and distant past. I am also only about 1/2 mile from there.

Dick Lane is at the other side of Bradford quite near the M606 motorway

Thanks Richard, I think we were on the same "over the hills" run to Chatsworth in May? Same weather as today!!! I have been rowing at Bradford ARC at Saltaire this morning getting soaked, I did have a mind to head to DriveStyle for lunch and Brit GP viewing, but this non-TVR weather isnt encouraging. I should give her a pre-Le-Mans airing, not been out in weeks. Many intentions of joining some TVRCC gatherings, but working in Italy, plus Harry the Weimeraner dog needing exercise when I am here, plus gowin' rowin' sort of fills time already! Does your Wedge do the Thackley trip often? When its sunny my drive to Idle over the moor is wonderful, but this "summer" its all been diesel auto estate co. car driven!

Hi John

What a lot of coincidences in your reply

Yes I led the Chatsworth run over the tops in my Wedge
I used to row at Bradford ARC at Saltaire
and I have just got back from Drivestyle and the F1 GP viewing
(shame it wasn't very well supported)

I live in Thackley and am lucky enough to have an office at home
You are welcome to call down for a coffee sometime if you need a break from GBs
and see my shrine to TVRs

It is the Yorkshire & Humberside TVRCC meet tomorrow at Esholt
or the West Yorkshire TVRCC are doing arun out on Wednesday if you fancy
or the Ice Cream Run next Sunday

Hope to see you out again soon

Cheers

Richard
