'96 4.2. There is a pipe which comes off the back of the top of each inlet manifold. These are joined in the middle by a union. Another pipe comes off the front of the union and goes over the engine and down the front by the pullys etc.

Any idea what this is and how important it is?
Will I break anything by leaving it disconnected?
What should it me connected to?

This question sounds familiar(not from PH though). Have you only just bought the car?

the plastic cross piece always breaks on the little fella's
it is a breather from the tank-it put's the hydro carbons into the induction curcuit.
