IPOD with VXR8

Has anybody tried using the aux jack to play their IPOD. I found the volume to be extremely quiet! Both with the IPOD volume all the way up and the car stereo likewise.

You need to get something to convert the ipod to output line level I'd say.

I have found the same, it gets loud enough if you rAMP IT TO 50-60 but it is quiet/

Many car stereos have an "aux volume/boost" type function to compensate for this, usually buried deep within the settings.

If not, you need a "line driver" or iPod car kit which does the same thing (and charges at the same time).

mine seems fine but volume levels do seem to change from song to song. Maybe its the recording quality of the song on the ipod.

I just need a mount for mine now as its fiddly in the centre console box.
