645 & vehicle check

My 645 says it wants a vehicle check in 4500 miles, it's not the MOT as that was done and it was serviced not that long ago and still says 12000 before oil change. Any idea what this check is???

The vehicle check is a condition based servicing and it sounds as if your vehicle check clock is running quicker than the vehicle service light so will throw up an inspection. The servicing for most BMW's goes as follows:-

Oil service
Inspection 1
Oil service
Inspection 2
Oil service...

Now, instead of you coming in on inspection 1 for a set service the vehicle will keep an eye on the parts involved so the service will depend on how the parts are doing and this will mean some of the things done on inspection 1/2 will be done at different times now so you get the most from the parts.

This is from my limited knowledge of servicing as I work in marketing so I might not have it 100% right but is largely correct I'm sure.
