okay...so i am working underneath the car fitting brake pipes and cable tieing things in place and i hear the dull rumble of a chim comming down the road.
I stick my head out to see BHPJon in his chim having just got it back on the road...out he jumps to tell me "I am going for a hoon around some country roads as the weather is nice and this is whats it's all about owning a TVR"

I glance across at mine and think....."bugger"...!!!

Well not wanting to pcensoreds on anyones parade...but...

Hope you had fun driving around not going over 2k revs...

Nice artistic licence but no-one is going to 'Hoon' at 2k!!

P.S Mine might be a 500, but yours sounds nicer with those straight thru pipes!.............Shame it's on those rather fetching wooden blocks.......

If you like it then i am sure we could spend a saturday afternoon doing yours...if we did it right you could have it so you can bolt the silencer back in if you wanted...

Abd i am only jealous that you are out driving and i am still smash !!!

Not going over 2K revs? That can't be right. After my rebuild I was just told not to thrash it but most importantly not to let it labour

I would be using double that, but just not thrashing it,only using 2k revs you can look forward to glazed bores and high oil consumption,i am not telling you what to do just my dimes worth,i have never nursed a new motor just drive it and dont scream it.

Not sure the Missus/neighbours would be 2 keen, if i just record half an hour of yours onto disc then i could play it loudly through the stereo when i'm by myself......Having said that i might be tempted? scratchchin

Should be ready for your little 'uns first birthday then? wink

How are you Andy?
Everyone is still admiring the stainless dash but not had any takes for one ....yet! Might have an order or two for the roof covers if you're still planning to do them!
