Sat, VXR8 black heading from Prestatyn to Rhuddlan around 19.00-ish...I was following you in the red CV8 til the Dyserth turn off....anyone on here?

Is this right or sould I be using the Sticky Spotted??

Twas I. Couldn,t get on yesterday due to techy probs. {1st post Hi all) Due to me being fairly duff/old at laptopping the Missus showed which buttons to push and here I am. Sat. night we were off to Prosperity Chinese restaurant in Rhuddlan when you spotted me. well worth a visit! Had 2 cv8s and vxr8 came in July.Superb car except its apallingly noisy through the gears but quiet in sixth.Hope not all are the same.Confession, lurked for ages.

Hmmm that fantastic 6 litre V8 is too noisy!! I suggest the car has a problem OR if you wanted a quiet car to cruise around in you have made a bad choice. I have the WORTEC permenantly on loud and cannot get enough of it.

Wouldn't mind engine/exhaust noise, this is coming from the gearbox and is much much worse when hot.From experience I know Monaro gearboxes can be a bit noisy at low revs but this disappears as you speed up.This rattly noise is always present in every gear except sixth. It also emits a low pitched whine.
The man from VXR has had a drive and asked the dealer(Slaters)to order some "different" oil for the box and to rectify a fault with the gearlever.Fingers crossed.As said really chuffed with the car apart from this.

That all sounds pretty major although you sound ok with it all.I have the auto so cannot really comment, i am sure i would not be as calm with situation on a new car.

I have not read anywhere else on this forum any similar problems.

I think you look at it diferently when it's a company car.Probably shouldn't though but have had many dealings Slaters over the years and found them very professional and helpful (i'll bank the cheque now Nigel) I'm sure we'll get there in the end. Thanks for your concern.

impulse blue is exclusive and was not dropped form the range mearly held back to make it more exclusive for use on VXR8s

Yeah, it was getting a bit murky....didn't notice the noise from yours but then again I wasn't listening for it. Plus I wouldn't have heard it anyway above the sound coming from my DiFillippo(sp?) long tube headers with no cats. Still, yours looked really nice in the gloom!! Am off abroad again on Wed til Jan 08....maybe we can organise a mini meet again with Devilyellow on my return?

We supply the seaside gift and beach shops around the country with stock of buckets and spades, toys etc,etc. Start the shows November,finish end of Feb.Won't describe our merchandise as a certain jewellery retailer once did!
